Farm to export

Seven stages between a seed and a shipment

The same sequence every time, so you always know where your order is and what happens next.

01
Selected coffee seed and a young seedling in estate soil

Seed

It starts with selection: seed stock chosen for the cup and the climate it will grow in, sown into the red soil of the Ghats.

02
Terraced coffee slopes under monsoon rain

Cultivation

Years under shade trees and monsoon rain. Slow growth at altitude is what puts the aroma into a bean and the oil into a peppercorn.

03
Ripe coffee cherries picked by hand into a basket

Harvesting

Picked selectively, by hand, as each cherry and pod ripens — the step no machine does as well, and the reason grower relationships matter.

04
Beans winnowed and washed, chaff and dust separated out

Cleaning

Washed, winnowed and dried to a controlled moisture level. Chaff, dust and foreign matter leave here, not at your port.

05
Beans checked against grading chips under a magnifier

Quality Inspection

Every lot is checked against the agreed specification — grade, colour, moisture and cleanliness. Anything that does not match is not loaded.

06
Jute sacks filled, labelled and stitched for export

Packaging

Hygienic, secure export packing — jute or PP bags, vacuum packs or retail units, under your label if you want one.

07
Loaded container vessel leaving port for global markets

Global Shipping

Documentation prepared, freight booked, cargo dispatched — with tracking shared until it reaches your warehouse.

Sustainability

Good farming is the only long-term supply chain

Coffee and spices are grown by people, on land that has to still be there next season. These are the commitments we work to with our growers.

  • Organic & shade-grown practice

We favour growers who keep shade cover and follow good agricultural practice, and we can source certified organic lots on request.

  • Water conservation

Rain-fed slopes, careful washing and controlled drying — water is used sparingly at every processing step.

  • Ethical sourcing

Direct relationships with growers and processors we know and revisit, rather than anonymous lots bought at the lowest price.

  • Fair, transparent trade

Agreed prices, agreed specifications and prompt payment — the terms that keep a farm worth farming.

  • Eco-friendly packaging

Jute and paper first, food-safe liners only where the product needs them, and packing sized to avoid waste in transit.

The growers

Behind every sack, a family and a season

Our supply chain is short on purpose. The people who pick, dry and sort these crops are the people we buy from directly — and the reason quality stays where it should.

The cup profile matched the approved sample, and the paperwork was ready before the vessel sailed. That combination is rare and it is why we keep re-ordering.
